Responsibilities

  1. Raise the awareness of stewardship within Dayspring congregation on a regular, systematic basis;
  2. Organize and carry out a formal annual stewardship program through:
    1. Time and Talent sheets.
    2. Financial Commitment cards.
  3. Coordinate appeals for funds and seek out projects that can involve the congregation in stewardship;
  4. Receive fundraising requests and ensure that they conform to policies and guidelines of Session;
  5. Coordinate stewardship activities in support of other Session committees;
  6. Seek out and develop other initiatives re: stewardship;
  7. Inform the congregation about the Stewardship program through articles and announcements in the Dayspring Newsletter and the Family News.
  8. Make budget recommendations to the Board of Managers.

Convener Responsibilities

  1. Call and moderate meetings of the committee;
  2. Prepare the agenda;
  3. Oversee activities connected with the committee;
  4. Ensure that the activities of the committee are reported to Session at regular Session meetings
  5. Prepare the annual report for the Annual Congregational Meeting.
